The Newport Beach Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) group is committed to provide all Public Safety departments in the City of Newport Beach with the most efficient response possible to supplement emergency/disaster and routine Public Safety communications events and activities. We provide the highest level of service using Amateur and Public radio resources. We do so in an efficient, professional and courteous manner using our own amateur radio equipment.
In addition to our normal training exercise, we provide radio communications for the Multiple Sclerosis Walk and March of Dimes "Walk America" charity fundraisers held each year in April. In June we participate in the nationwide American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Field Day event combined with our annual picnic at Mariner's Park.
If you are a licensed amateur radio operator who lives or works in Newport Beach, and you are prepared to make a commitment to community service though Newport Beach RACES, please contact us for more information.
